Pipeline Inspection & Surveys

Pipeline integrity surveys are routinely conducted on subsea pipelines and their associated infrastructure and as part of these surveys it is becoming common for the offshore survey contractor to carry leak detection systems on-board to allow for rapid deployment if a leak is suspected.

Neptune's subsea multi-channel leak detection system allows the pipeline inspection contractor to mobilise the leak detection system on the ROV (or AUV, PIG, etc.) with one or more different sensor types running simultaneously.

The sensor types available for a pipeline survey are:- long range fluorescence for control fluids or oil; passive acoustics; differential temperature. The sensor types are selected depending on the fluids in the pipeline.
